Instant Pot Frozen Salmon

This post of for Dessie Grannis :) I wanted to see how well I could cook salmon from frozen (because I'm lazy) in the Instant Pot and it turned out great!

Can't remember where I got this specific Salmon (maybe Costco?).

Rinsed off ice layer and patted dry like they said:

Put in the pot on steamer rack on a little Aluminum Foil (so easier to clean up).  I just sprinkled on some seasoning from Whole Foods (see 2nd pic) and put 1 cup water in bottom.

The Manual said to STEAM from frozen for 4-6 minutes, but that was way low as I first tried 6 minutes ON STEAM.  I like my salmon around 158 degrees and it was not even to 130 in most spots testing with temp sensor, so I think I added 4 more minutes and that was ideal, so I think 8-10 minutes would be ideal.  I did quick release.  I was impressed how quick it reached steam pressure/temp - just a couple minutes.

Finished product in Instant Pot:

I usually like something sweet on my salmon, and this is what I had handy - very good combo!
